Aardvark equipment duct deployment trailer and duct stillage transport system
This systematic approach of duct transport & duct placement within the soil profile has been a joint development project between Aardvark Equipment Ltd. (design engineers & fabricators), Magnor Plant Ltd. (plant hire & H + S developments) & Emtelle Ltd. (specialist cable ducting solutions).
The Aardvark Equipment Duct Deployment Trailer and accompanying "Duct Stillage" system allows transport of electric cable duct packs (2 per stillage, each around 1.0 metric tonne in weight) on a flat bed trailer from the main works H.Q. goods holding area to a specific works point on the linear job "spread".

Empty cable duct stillage with internal dimensions of 6350mm long, 2200mm wide x 1250mm high. A personnel operated side gate allows ducts to exit from the stillage down an internal ramp ready for collection from temporary storage points on the gate from which they are taken & strung together to form a continuous linear duct which goes down the beaver tail ramp as the duct trailer slowly progresses along the job site trench.
Trailer to stillage attachment/detachment is via Q.D. shipping container twist locks.
Benifits:
1) Much faster duct assembly & power cable laying infrastructure job progression.
2) Personnel keep clean feet on a non slip flat deck with no chance of trench subsidence H & S problems.
3) All ducts are assembled whilst spotlessly clean with no chance of mud ingress.
